Skincare might sound daunting for most – dedicating an hour of your day for your face? It even sounds ridiculous as I type it out now, and I’m sure you busy people out there are all going to say the same thing: “I don’t have the time for that!” Well… what if I told you it’s possible to work your way to better skin while you’re sleeping or while you’re showering?
Stuck in Traffic
Have a few minutes to spare? I wouldn’t recommend slapping on a sheet mask and scaring the driver in the neighbouring car, but if you have some cotton pads, a toner or essence and a little zip lock bag, here’s a quick DIY mask! Pop a couple of cotton pads in the bag and pour a few droplets in to saturate the pads. Now you can just toss this in your bag for anytime your skin needs a little pick me up! The Klairs Supple Preparation Toner is perfect for that – it’s a super boost of hydration and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or greasy, just refreshed and ready to take on the day.
Sitting for hours in an office can be quite tiring, and a little skin-perk-me up is just what we need! I love having a little spray mist on my table to spritz it on through the day. Especially with the air conditioning in the office with makes my skin feel a bit drier, it’s important to replenish my moisture levels. The Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Mist does all that and more, as it not only hydrates but also has ingredients which aid in wrinkle repairing. The best part is you can use this even when you have make-up on, without worry that it might mess it up!
In The Shower
Blithe’s Patting Splash Mask is shaking up the masking world. It claims to do the same thing regular masks do in just 15 seconds, and all in the comforts of your bathroom. Formulated with lactic acid and botanical extracts, this resurfacing mask gives you instantly soft and glowing skin! Simply pour a capful into your palms and pat, pat, pat onto your face while the shower is still on. Alternatively, decant it in a spray bottle and apply the mask on while you’re in the shower. Step out of the shower feeling rejuvenated and with bouncier skin!
While You Sleep
This is one of my favourite ways to mask, purely because when I wake up I’m always amazed by how healthy and chok chok my skin looks! Chok chok is a term used by Koreans, meaning juicy and moist glow, and it’s something we all want to attain. A hydrating sleeping mask also works as a moisturiser, and helps to lock in any serums or essences you applied earlier. One that has become a firm staple by my night stand is the Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Mask, and I apply about a pea sized amount and massage it all over my face. If you are a side sleeper or even a front sleeper, you can apply it about an hour before you sleep and let it sink a little before going to bed. Wake up, wash any remnants off and never worry about dry skin again!
